Obituary for Margie Curtis (Phillips)

Margie  Curtis (Phillips)
Margie Phillps Curtis, 84, of Otto, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late King and Allie Sanders Phillips. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Curtis; one brother, Barnard Phillips; and one sister, Berthie Phillips. Mrs. Curtis was a homemaker and avid farmer. She was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by one brother, Ellis "Bud" Phillips of Bryson City; four sisters, Fannie Sanders, Mattie Norris, and Ruby Hodgin of Franklin, and Susie Bradley of Hendersonville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 9, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Macon Funeral Home . Rev. Allen Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, from 7-9 p.m.

Mrs. Curtis's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
