Margaret Joyce (M.J.) Black, went to be with her beloved husband of 63 years in the early morning of April 5, 2007 of natural causes.
M.J. is survived by daughters, Susan McCullough and husband David, Deanie Smith and husband Phillip and Billi Black Winecoff and husband Ron. In addition she is survived by six devoted grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. M.J. and Bill had been residents of Franklin, NC for the past 15 years and lived at Old Mill Creek.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 14, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Allen and Rev. Maria Edmonds will officiate.
She will be interned with her husband, William (Bill) Morrison Black Colonel, USAF (Retired) at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 66 Harrison Avenue, Franklin, NC 28734.
