Obituary for Lloyd Everett Cook

Lloyd Everett  Cook
Lloyd Everett Cook, 70, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008.

Born in Forney Creek of Swain County, he was the son of the late Henry Clyde Cook and Polly Mae Lequire Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Doyle and Lawrence Cook. He was co-owner of Cook Brothers Saw Mill. Lloyd loved his family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two children, Dean Cook and wife, Glenda and Brenda Gail Cook, all of Franklin; five brothers Elmer Cook, Randall Cook and wife, Renee, James Cook and wife Revena, Danny Cook, and wife, Sherry, and Leonard Cook, and wife, Elizabeth; two sisters, Cathy Williams and Martha Owens, all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Anita Harper and husband, Shane of Stonewall, MS, Misty Crisp and husband, Steve, Deanna Crone and husband, Brandon, all of Franklin; great grandchildren, Hunter Harper, Katlyn Harper, and Cody Harper, all of Stonewall, MS; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Alton Dendy will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Gregg Cook , Tim Cook, Rick Cook, Paul Cook, Adam Cook, Dylan Cook, Rodney Cook, Barry Owens, Tanner Cook, Jonathan Williams, and Ashley Cook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
