Obituary for Linda Lee Hedden (Mashburn)
Linda Lee Mashburn Hedden, 80 of Franklin, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Irene Watts Mashburn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Hedden and a brother, Verlon “Sonny” Mashburn.
Linda was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church, where she was very active. She previously was the clerk at the church, a Sunday School teacher, helped with bible school and went on home visitations to visit those that could not come to church. She loved and cherished her family and her church. Linda had an extensive Avon family that she developed over the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa MacLennan (David) of Waterford, MI; and her son, Arley Hedden of Franklin; one brother, Larry Mashburn of Franklin; and six sisters; Gayla Jenkins of SC, Carolyn Stahl of TN, Pat Clouse, Ellen Shope, Barbara Jacobs and Sandra Teem all of Franklin. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Hanna and Colin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the Strain Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation, however Mrs. Hedden will lie in state on Friday from 9 till 5 and on Saturday from 9 till 2 for those who would like to pay their respects.
