Obituary for Linda Sue Campbell (Collier)
Linda Sue Collier Campbell, 73, of Franklin passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Born and raised in Macon County, Linda was the daughter of the late Roy J. Collier and Mary Greenwood Collier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, David Collier. Linda was a member of East Franklin Baptist Church and served as past secretary and Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Fred Campbell, Jr; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Benton and husband Scott of Monroe, NC; son, Rick Campbell and wife Jenny of Franklin; three sisters, Marilyn Roper and husband CB, Mildred Broad and Phoebe Hastings and husband Mark all of Franklin; brother, Sonny Collier and wife Carolyn of Franklin; half-brother, Doug Welch and wife Irene of Sylva; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 16th at East Franklin Baptist Church. Rev. Gary McDaniels and Rev. Terry Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm, prior to the service at East Franklin Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Gibson, Dustin Hooks, Mitchell Benton, Mike Shepherd, Kenneth “Dooley” Shepherd and Tommy Mason.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to East Franklin Baptist Church, 2057 Lakeside Drive, Franklin, NC 28734.
