Obituary for Lewis Harold Soles

Lewis Harold Soles, 70, of Franklin, entered into rest Wednesday, December 21, 2005.

A native of Haines City, FL, he was the son of the late Bruce and Hattie Willis Soles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey and Herbert Soles. Lewis attended Florida Southern University; served in the U.S. Air Force; and retired Air Traffic Control Radar Specialist. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and chairman of Helping Hands Ministry. He was also an avid hiker, runner, and mountain biker.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Caroline Harrison Soles; daughter, Elizabeth Soles of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Thad and wife, Jaime of Richardson, TX and Randy Soles and Yvonne of Franklin; five grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Sandy, Jonas, and Daymon; brother, Jack and wife Evelyn of Wachula, FL; great-niece, Jessica Hightower of Franklin; sisters-in-law Maxine and Avie Lou Soles and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, December 23, at First Baptist Church. Rev. Harold Ball, Rev. Joe Sustarsic, Rev. Bernie Calloway, and Rev. Jaime Clark-Soles will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service hour at First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be members of the II Timothy 2 Men's Sunday School Class.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Stiles and the young men of the college/career Sunday School class.
