Lawrence "Larry" Bright Lowry, 58, of Demorest, GA, passed away Mon., January 29, 2007.
A native of Monroe Co, TN, he was the son of Ruby Daisy Belcher Curtis and the late Fulton Creed Lowry. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving three tours in Vietnam and was a building contractor. Larry was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church of Franklin and a member of the Great American Rifleman Association.
In addition to his mother, Ruby Curtis; he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lethia Passmore Lowry; five children, Stephani "Stevi" Lowry and Brandy Bishop both of the home, Janet Muncey of Otto, NC, Sherri Lowry of Tiger, GA and Tony Lowry of Cashiers, NC; one brother, Keith Curtis of Franklin; four sisters, Arzetta Martin of Athens, TN, Denise Southard and Shelia McClure both of Franklin and Glenda Loose of Otto, NC; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Claude Curtis, and two sons, Mike Shannon Lowry and Ricky Lowry.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Wooten will officiate.
