Obituary for Laura Jane Henry (Bryson)

Laura Bryson Henry, 93, of Franklin, entered into rest Thursday, July 7, 2005.

A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Buchanan Bryson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Henry who died in 1982; and brothers Frank and Fred Bryson. Mrs. Henry was a nurse at Angel Community Hospital for over forty years; and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Don C. Henry, Jr., John Robert Henry, James Henry, and Edgar Boyd Henry, all of Franklin; two daughters, Mary Ruth Curtis of Gold Bar, Washington, and Nancy Pitts of Franklin; two brothers, Shirley Bryson and Kenneth Worth Bryson, both of Darrington, Washington; and one sister, Jessie Morgan of Sylva; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, in the old Holly Spring Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Trull and Rev. Hugh Holliman will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Henry, Barry Henry, Dr. Rob Henry, Danny Jimison, Roland Wright, and Stephen Pitts.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Holy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 366 Holly Springs Church Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
