Obituary for Kenneth Roy Houston

Kenneth Roy  Houston
Kenneth Roy Houston, 74, of Franklin, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009.
Born in Haywood Co., he was the son of the late Ray Houston and Ruby Woods Houston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Sorrell and Martha Hall. He was a custom home builder and custom cabinet maker; delivered the paper for the Asheville Citizen and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Grace Tallent Houston; four sons, Doug Houston, Darrell Houston, Dale Houston and Melvin Houston and wife Diane all of Franklin; daughter, Donna Templeton and husband Andy of Granite Falls, NC; four brothers, James Houston of Franklin, Richard Houston of Dillsboro, Edwin Houston of Clayton, GA and Carol “Dink” Houston of Bremen, GA; two sisters, Barbara Brown of Ackworth, GA and Irene Longley of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
