Obituary for Josephine Baird (Daves)

Josephine D. Baird, 85, of Franklin, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007.

Born in Jerratte, Tenn. she was a lifelong resident of Macon County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Daves and Annie Phillips Daves. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Baird who died in 1996; a daughter Vicki Baird who died in 1953; brother Bruce Daves and two sisters Helen Dowdle and Mildred McNabb. Josephine was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a teller for the Bank of Franklin in the early 1950's.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Baird of Sylva and Jack Baird of Franklin; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, at the church.
