Obituary for John C. Stamey
John C. Stamey, 64, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Palm Coast, Florida on Thursday, September 21, 2006.
He was a native of Macon County and the son of the late Virgil Stamey and Marie Cook Stamey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Stamey. He had served in the U.S. Army in Germany and had lived and worked in Northern Virginia for 30 years. He was a member of the Fairfax County Fire Dept. before moving to Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Loann Stamey; daughter, Lessie Bussy and husband, Mark and two grandchildren, Sarah and Ryan Bussy all of Centerville, VA; and three brothers, Jay Lloyd Stamey, Gene Stamey and Fred Stamey all of Franklin.
A Memorial Service will be held in Palm Coast, Florida on Tuesday, September 26, 2006.
