Obituary for J.M. Shuler

J. M. Shuler, 67, of Franklin, entered into rest Monday, October 10, 2005.

A native of Macon County he was the son of the late Don Lee Shuler and Virgie Long Shuler. He was a heavy equipment operator; loved hunting and fishing and loved nothing more than to have a good conversation with a friend. He was a member of Iotla Baptist Church and long time member of George Lynch's Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Geneva Hedden Shuler; one daughter, Debbie Shuler of Franklin; three sisters, Shirley Peek and Donna Holden both of Franklin and Virginia Peek of Johnson City, TN; six brothers, Marselle, Weaver, Charles, Jerry and Dwight Shuler all of Franklin and Harrell Shuler of Greenville, VA.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 11 at Iotla Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Bob Gregory, Wayne Pipes, E. J. Bradley, George Lynch, Bucky Asby and Spence Ledford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Cynthia Rowland, 886 Younce Creek Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
