Jessie McConnell, 73, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur McConnell and Minnie E. Sorrells McConnell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ural, B. L., John, and Paul McConnell; and one sister, Grace McConnell. She was a charter member of Bethel United Methodist Church serving as treasurer, charge treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, board member, trustee, & youth leader.

She is survived by two sisters, Bessie M. Seay and Mildred Hoglen, both of Franklin; and one brother, Steve McConnell of Franklin; a special nephew, Donald McConnell of Franklin; and several more nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 13, at Bethel United Methodist Church. Rev. Al Beck & Rev. Vic Greene will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Macon Funeral Home.
