Obituary for Jesse Edgar Crisp

Jesse Edgar  Crisp
Jesse Edgar Crisp, 78, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009. Born in Macon Co. he was the son of the late Frank Washington Crisp and Edna Estes Crisp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Roseanne Crisp and a brother, Floyd Crisp. Jesse was a US Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was credit manager for Carolina Tire/Goodyear for many years. He was a life member of the VFW; member of the American Legion and member of the Boundary Hunting Club. Jesse was a member of West Franklin Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Whittington Crisp; son, David Crisp and wife Monica R. of Wilmington; three siblings, Benny Joe Crisp of Canton, GA, Carlos Crisp of Franklin and Judith Crisp Houston of Franklin; two grandchildren, Nicholas David Crisp and Ella Nicole Crisp and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Nick Smith and Rev. Kenneth Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 108 and VFW Post 7339. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ray Rogers, Frank Pangle, Rick Norton, Maxi Burrell, Raymond Shepherd and Clyde McCall. Billy Waldroop, Edwin Grant and Jason Pangle and members of the Boundary Hunting Club will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Memorial donations can be made to one’s favorite charity.
