Obituary for Jane Doolittle (Penland)

Jane  Doolittle (Penland)
Jane Penland Doolittle, 69, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late L.E. Penland and Hazel Waldroop Penland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Paul Thompson who died in 2004. She worked at Angel Medical Center for 24 years. Jane loved her grandchildren, they were her life and she enjoyed going to the beach.

She is survived by three children, Todd Doolittle and wife Sara of Franklin, Laurie Rostallon of Franklin and Leesa Greenway and husband Richard of Madison, GA; two sisters, Juliana Holland of Seattle, Washington and Betty Ellis of St. Simons, GA; nine grandchildren, April Greenway, Richard Greenway, Ashley Greenway, Amanda Greenway, Hannah Doolittle, Cole Doolittle, Jamie Rostallon, Taylor Rostallon and Tyler Rostallon; four great grandchildren, Bailey Lauder, Madison Shelby Eaton, Hayden Ann Holland and Ashton Rostallon; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Trull will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
