James Leldon Davis, Sr., 65, of Bryson City, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006.

A native of Jasper, Alabama, and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, he was the son of the late Ted and Mary Ellen Boston Davis. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired computer technician for the F.A.A. James attended Hillside Baptist Church in Bryson City. He was a member of the Petal Masonic Lodge in Petal, Mississippi, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Comic Cowboys, a Mardi Gras society in Mobile, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Aleta Gaye Campbell Davis; four children, Robert Leldon Davis of Bryson City, NC; Faye Ellen Holt of Mobile, AL, James Leldon Davis, Jr. of Stafford, VA, Matthew Lee Davis of Spotsylvania, VA; sister, Ruth Diane Hamilton of Mobile, AL; devoted brother and sister in law, Frank and Toni Greene of Satsuma, AL; brother-in-law Richard Gaston of Mobile, AL; father-in-law Huey Gaston also of Mobile, AL; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private Services will be held at a later date.
