Obituary for James Bussey

James Rittner Bussey, 66, of Otto, entered into rest Monday, February 21, 2005.

A native of Nicholas County W. VA., he was the son of the late Arnett and Virginia Elswick Bussey. He retired as a public works director for Arcadia, FL, and currently worked for Macon County at the Otto Recycling Center; he retired from the US Air Force with twenty-one years of service, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and the Bay of Pigs; he did church bus ministry in Florida for twenty-two years; previously played softball for Holly Springs Baptist Church; was an avid fisherman; and a member of Coweeta Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judith Hunt Bussey; three children, Tammy Hurt of Nocatee, FL, Beverly Banther of Franklin, and Robert Bussey of Clayton, GA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 24, at Coweeta Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bussey Family, 136 Goode Acre Lane, Otto, NC 28763.
