Surrounded by his family, Hunter Caden Matthew Davis, 6, of Franklin, ran into the arms of Jesus on the morning of Monday, July 20, 2020.

Our lives were forever changed on November 7, 2013 when Hunter was born and with him came the meaning of true, unconditional love. His life was spent loving; being around all the children in his family, being outside, being rocked, being read to and his stuffed horse all brought him immense joy. Hunter touched many lives; he will not be forgotten, and his legacy of love will live on in those who choose to love just as Jesus loves us.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard and Rebecca Davis; grandparents, Imogene Allen Davis (Troy William Davis, predeceased grandfather) of Franklin and John Morris (Rhonda) of Atlanta, TX (Brenda Morris, predeceased grandmother); great grandmother, Lois Morris of Little Rock, AR; brother, Richard William Davis (Megan) of Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC; four sisters, Kimberly McAllister (Will) of Franklin, Melissa Crisp (Roy) of Franklin, Chasitiy Houston (Ian) of Camp Lejeune, NC, Summer Davis of Jacksonville, NC and nieces and nephews, Allison, Cayson, Creedence, Cullen, Landon, Hannah, Gabriel, Callie, Addy, Evalyn, Aiden and Matias. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 25th at the Franklin Church of God. Rev. Michael Stephens, Rev. Hank Connors, Rev. Jeremy Chapman and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm, prior to the service at the Franklin Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Will McCallister, William Davis, Roy Crisp and Cecil Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Make-A-Wish America, Gift Processing, 1702 East Highland Ave., Suite 400 , Phoenix, AZ 85016.

Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Rebecca, Richard and family, Clint and I are so sorry for your loss. Hunter was so well loved and cared for by all of you. Hunter had made it to a place we all long for. From the looks of the chaos in our world we will be there soon. You will be with Hunter longer than you will be without him. When you get there you will probably have to catch him for he is running the streets of gold. Making up for lost time. Praying for you all for peace that only comes from God. Kathy & Clint
