Obituary for Henderson Guy Crisp

Henderson Guy Crisp, 86, of Highlands, NC, passed away Sat., February 23, 2008.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late H.G. Crisp and Inda Collins Crisp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. Guy was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Highlands. He was a plumbing and heating contractor; avid sportsman; and was a member of Shortoff Baptist.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edna Norton Crisp; three children, Jack Henderson Crisp and Michael A. Crisp both of Highlands and Charles S. Crisp of Woodstock, GA; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 25, at Shortoff Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Cloer and Rev. Mark McClain will officiate. Burial will be in the Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.

Pallbearers will be James Crisp, Derek Calloway, Morris Reed, Jim Fox, John Norton, Dennis Wilson.
