Harold Dennis Holbrook, 83, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Born in Macon Co., he was the son of the late Bry Fretwell Holbrook and Vina Itaska Welch Holbrook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Lula Fouts and Las Parker and two brothers, Dwight Holbrook and Weaver Holbrook.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Stamey Holbrook; four children, Tonda Holbrook of Franklin, Tony Holbrook of Marshfield, MA, Phyllis Jones of Franklin and Pat Green and husband Rick of Franklin; a brother, Willard Holbrook of Franklin; six grandchildren, Rodney Bryant, Barry Bryant, Brandy Conely, Misty Jones, Mitchel Green and Brittany Green and six great-grandchildren, Kainen Bryant, Kelcie Bryant, Olivia Bryant, Chandler Bryant, Rylan Sanders and Cameron Jones.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Holbrook, Rodney Bryant, Mitchell Green, Barry Bryant, Wayne Stamey and Keith Stamey.
