Obituary for Grant Allan Epps
Grant Allen Epps, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Mr. Epps was born in Troy, North Carolina on December 30, 1941, to the late Charlie and Rachel Epps. He is survived by his wife Myrtle Epps of 51 years. Grant was of the Baptist Faith and was a member at Sugarfork Baptist Church where he and his wife served as messengers to the Baptist Association. He served in the United States Army and was proud of his service. He enjoyed sending time outdoors and mowing and taking care of the yard. He also enjoyed raising dogs and referred to them as his “youngins”.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several uncles and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne, that passed away as an infant.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Pastor Gene Hawkins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm prior to the service. Burial will follow later in the week at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, North Carolina. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.
