Gladys Tallent, 94, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Born in Blue Ridge, GA, she was the daughter of the late A.J. Edwards and Daisy Baldwin Edwards. She was married to the late Hiram Tallent who died November 29, 2004. Gladys was a member of Iotla Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Mack Tallent and Dewey Tallent both of Franklin and Brenda Downs; three sisters, Wilma Roper, Allie Burrell and Delma Starbach; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
