In 2008, Fred and his wife Alida bought a vacation home in the mountains of North Carolina and made it their permanent home in 2016. Fred had several hobbies and enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and biking. He loved sitting on the porch, listening to music and telling stories. Above all, Fred loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
