Freda Lee Mincey Henry, 80, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Mincey and Betsy Young Mincey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Henry who died January 19, 2003; a son, Gary Henry who died December 31, 2001 and a brother, Charles Mincey who died March 12, 1999. Freda was the former owner of El Sombero and was a member of Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, John F. Henry and wife Kim of Franklin, Billie Thurman of Douglasville, GA, Janie Tallent and husband Sam of Douglasville, GA and Diane Rosser and husband Ricky of Jackson, GA; sister, Joan Erbele North of Franklin; brother, Howard Mincey of Franklin; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at11 a.m. Monday, December 10, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Dillinger and Rev. Rick Potts will officiate. Burial will be in the Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Matt Tallent, Carl Mincey, Chuck Bailey, Levi Bailey, Chase Henry, John D. Henry and Steve Hood.
