Obituary for Frances Gaynelle White (Whitney)

Frances Gaynelle White, 91, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008.

Born in Greeley, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Forest Whitney and Agnes Ensign Whitney. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Wilbur Benedict who died in 1979 and her second husband, James M. White who died November 14, 2002; and a sister, Katherine Stephens. Gaynelle was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship; an active member of the community; member of the Gem and Mineral Society and member of the league of Women Voters.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Mackoviak of Franklin; a son, Stephen Benedict and wife Sharon of Lake Worth, FL; three grandchildren, Mark Mackoviak and Emily Mackoviak both of Franklin and Whitney Benedict of Palm Springs, FL; one great grandchild, Ira Mackoviak-King.

A Memorial Service will be held ____________________________.

Memorial donations may be made to the Macon County Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
