Evelyn Anthony Speed, 74, of Franklin, passed away, April 18, 2008.

Born in Yadkin Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vance Anthony and Dellie Peele Anthony. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Creed Clark and second husband, Jim Speed. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by three children, Carol Cota and husband Henry of Franklin, Wayne Clark and wife Susie of Franklin and Kay Clark of Franklin; one sister, Shirley McGlamery of Morganton, NC; two brothers, Odell Anthony of Brooklyn, NY and Howard Anthony of Shollotte, NC; two grandchildren, Chad Clark and wife Kim of Rabun Gap, GA and Angie Cabe and husband Barry of Franklin; four great grandchildren, Mikenzie and Kountney Clark and Jacob and Jackson Cabe; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
