Obituary for Estelle Chastain (Lamb)

Thelma "Estelle" Chastain, 82, of Otto, entered into rest on Friday, January 28, 2005.

A native of Rabun County, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Riley Lamb and Beaulah Curtis Lamb. She was married to the late Furman "Dock" Chastain who died in 2002 and was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Floyd and Paul Lamb and three sisters, Blanche Lamb, Myrtle Norton and Annie Belle Wilson. She was a member of Newman Chapel Baptist Church where she was active in many areas of the church.

She is survived by two children, Nancy Chastain Bolding and husband, Garland "Pop" of Otto and Ernest Chastain and wife Joyce of Dillard, GA; six grandchildren, Angie Chastain, Sheilah Becerra, Dena Carver, Lisa Sanchez, Patti Chastain and Leah Crouse; four step grandchildren, Patti Mauldin, Glenn, Chester and Jerry Bolding; five great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, at Newman Chapel Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Lowe, Rev. Alton Dendy and Rev. Roy Connor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 31, at Macon Funeral Home and from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, at the church.

Pallbearers will be William Lambert, Michael Lambert, Greg Long, Tim Carver, Ricardo Becerra and Bud Lamb.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hoyt Thomas and Ronnie Lamb.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
