Obituary for Emily Treadway (Bishop)

Emily  Treadway (Bishop)
Emily Bishop Treadway, 95, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William David Bishop and Docia Higdon Bishop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Treadway who died in 1966; six brothers and sisters, Rev. Gudger Bishop, Dan Bishop, Edgar Bishop, Bea Davis, Lee Bishop, Frank Bishop and Robert David Bishop. Emily was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She devoted a lot of her time to raising money for the Community Center at Zion Hill.

She is survived by a sister, Mary L. Green of Franklin; two brothers, Kenneth Bishop of Franklin and Woodrow Bishop of Winlock, Washington; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley Hooper and Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 9, at Macon Funeral Home.

Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
