Obituary for Ella Mae Moss (Mathis)
Ella Mae Moss, 94, of the Yellow Mountain Community, passed away on July 10, 2022.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Baxter Mathis and Lozora Alexander Mathis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Carmon Henderson. As well as her sons Ralph and Kenneth Henderson, grandson Larry Henderson and several brothers and sisters. She retired from High Hampton Inn and enjoyed gardening and travel.
She is survived by her husband Leighton Moss; two granddaughters Carrie Bowen and husband Chris; Crystal Henderson and great grandchildren, Devin Bryson, Derick Bryson, Mason Bowen, Gage Bowen, and Gatlin Bowen.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 6-9 pm at the Yellow Mountain Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Glenville-Cashiers Rescue Squad, PO Box 919, Cashiers NC 28717.
