Dr. H. Nelson Makinson, Jr., 79, of Franklin, entered into rest Tuesday, April 12, 2005.

A native of Kissimmee, FL, he was the son of the late Henry Nelson Makinson, Sr. and Grace Winn Makinson. Dr. Makinson was a Veterinarian and was a US Army Air Corps WWII Veteran. Dr. Makinson was the founding pastor and member of Franklin Covenant Church.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Suzanne Summers Makinson; four children, John Nelson Makinson and wife, Cathy of Franklin, Marilyn H. Brady and husband, Frank of Okeechobee, FL, David Nelson Makinson and wife, Heidi of Seneca, SC, Angie Lee Critcher and husband, Jim of Ash-burn, VA; one sister, Angie Lee Northrop of Lincoln, AL; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday April 16, at the Franklin Covenant Church. Pastor John Makinson will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Macon Funeral Home.

Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
