Dove McCoy Smith, 92, of Frankin, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010.

Born in Macon Co. she was the daughter of the late Welch McCoy and Laura Hughes McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Doyle Smith who passed away in 1985; a son, J.D. Smith; a brother, Dearl McCoy and a sister, Oleta Welch. Dove was a member of Tellico Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Gregory and husband Bill and Blanche Morgan and husband Dale both of Franklin; a granddaughter, Jill Bell and husband Ralph of Franklin; great grandchildren, Lauryn and Chris Bell of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Jane Smith; two brothers, Odis Welch of Franklin, Harald Welch of Charlotte and a sister, Ann Lois Black of Tennessee.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Bell, Chris Bell, Dale Morgan, Bennie Smith, Leonard Bates and James Tallent.
