Obituary for Doris Ann Simmons (Bailey)

Doris Ann  Simmons (Bailey)
Doris Ann Bailey Simmons, 69, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
Born in Macon Co. she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Bailey and Annie Mae Teems Bailey. She grew up in Franklin and traveled world=wide as a military spouse. After retirement she settled back in Franklin and worked for Sears, Vanity Fair Factory and Macon Middle School Cafeteria. Doris was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jimmie L. Simmons; son, Randy Simmons and wife Rhonda of Greencastle, PA; daughter, Teressa Simmons of Franklin; three sisters, Sue Bryson, Wanda Holland and Marge Gibson all of Franklin; brother, Jerry Bailey of Nebo, NC; three grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Lee Simmons, Jimmie Randall Simmons and Anna Sasha Coreen Shepard; two great-grandchildren, Austin Lee Simmons and Madison Grace Simmons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bryson, Brian Holland, Kevin Holland, Michael Gibson, Richie Gibson and Hugh Holland.
The “Moon Chasers” bowling team to include Wanda Baker, Carolyn Holden, Wanda Dalrymple, Lynn Hodgin, Sunshine Snow, Darlene Hodgin and Caroline Shope will serve as honorary pallbearers.
