Obituary for Donald Frank Mikol

Donald Frank  Mikol
Donald Frank Mikol, 67, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009.
Born in Omer, MI, he was the son of Ann Rajewski Mikol and the late Adam Mikol. He owned and operated The Village Bakery in Standish, MI and was the president of Big Cypress Service Company (environmental laboratory) in Naples, FL. Donald moved to Franklin in 1987 where he was a building contractor for several years and then founded Mikol Realty, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate and later on co founded Classic GMAC Real Estate along with Sandy & Arthur Ochsner before he retired. He was a member of the Franklin Board of Realtors and held offices within Lutheran Churches.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marena Jeannette Waidelich Mikol of Franklin; son, John Adam Mikol and wife, Page Norris Mikol of Rural Hall, NC; daughter, Michelle Mikol Boettjer and husband Robert "Scott" Boettjer of Franklin and four grandchildren, Fredrick Samuel Boettjer. Jason Michael Forsythe, Brianna Marie Mikol and Adrian Leigh Mikol.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Rev. James Roseman will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice General Fund, 170 Church St. Franklin, NC 28734 or to the Resurrection Lutheran Church.
