Obituary for Davis McDonald

Davis Elisha McDonald, 88, of Franklin, entered into rest on Thursday, October 27, 2005.

A native of McIntosh County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert William McDonald and Annie Davis McDonald. He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and was a self employed contractor. Davis was a member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lee Griffin McDonald; one son, Wayne McDonald of Franklin; one daughter, Patsy Nettles of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Anne Rambo and Katie Evors both of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 31, Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. Rev. Frank Thompson will officiate.

In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holly Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or the Second Mile Ministry, 366 Holly Springs Church Road, Franklin, NC 28734.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
