Obituary for David Wayne Holland

David Wayne Holland, 27, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Nancy Lee Janson Holland. David was a self-employed block mason; member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and attended the Black Mountain Baptist Church; was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association; and was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving are his wife of four years, Natasha Price Holland and daughter, McKenzie of the home; father and mother, Gary and Edith Holland; four sisters, Deidre Holland and boyfriend, Matt Hopkins, Nancy Holland and boyfriend, Brandon Breedlove, Alisha Holland and boyfriend, Mark Self, and Elizabeth Hamilton all of Franklin; one brother, Lee Hurst and wife, Ivalee of Franklin; grandparents, Grady and Betty Holland of Franklin; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Joyce Price of Franklin; grandmother-in-law, Lois Price of Clyde, NC; grandparents-in-law, Carroll and Mazie Carver of Clyde, NC; brother-in-law, David Wayne Price of Franklin; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 24, at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Ernie Jamison will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 23, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Arnold, Larry Pickens, Aaron Holland, David Price, Jeremy Teem, Lee Hurst, Gerald Hedden, and Gerald Woods.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd McConnell, Freddy McConnell, Neville Clark, and Lane Cabe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N. C. Baptist Men's Association, P.O. Box 1107, Cary, NC 27511, or Hope for the World, C/O Mrs. Mary Hurd, 2440 Fortune Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744-3908.
