Daphne Duvall Simonds, 76, of Franklin, passed away Wed., February 14, 2007.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Steve Duvall and Bell Cody Duvall. Daphne retired from Verizon Telephone Co. where she worked as a telephone operator for 37 years. She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church and she loved to play bingo.

She is survived by two sons, Gene Donaldson of Franklin and Gary Donaldson of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Chris Donaldson, Justin Donaldson, Gary Donaldson, Jr., Timothy Donaldson and Stephen Donaldson; two nieces, Kathy Blankenship and Gwendolyn Phillips; and one nephew, Steve McFadden.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 18, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at Macon Funeral Home.
