Dale McCoy, 53, entered into rest July 2005.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Claude Ellis McCoy and Bernice Parrish McCoy. He had worked at West Building Materials and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one brother, Charles McCoy of Sylva; six sisters, Claudetta Potts, Joyce Kilby and Rita Bell and husband Jimmy all of Taylorsville, NC, Margaret Franks and husband Bruce of St. Cloud, FL, Helen Cassada and husband Dwight and Susie Clark and husband Wayne all of Franklin; sister-in-law, Mildred Turpin of Sylva; two nephews; nine nieces; six great nephews and eight great nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. John Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Clark, Barry Cabe, Jason Isacs, Travis Kilby, Earl Davis, Ronnie Hedden.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
