Coye Sue Clark Simons, 77, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010. Born in Macon Co. she was the daughter of the late Dock Levi Clark and Eliza Hickey Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Simons; five brothers, Clyde Clark, Lem Clark, Arnold Clark, Gaston “Monk” Clark and D.L. Clark and two sisters, Hassie Sheffield and Birdie Peek. Coye Sue was an avid supporter of Relay for Life and was a member and choir member of Windy Gap Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by seven children, Linda Hudson and husband Terry of Chatsworth, GA, Debbie Payne and husband Buddy of Franklin, Susan Simons of the home, Mike Simons and wife Dotie of Franklin, Sandra Hooper and husband Davis of Franklin, Janet Bishop and husband Donnie of Franklin and Sharon Anderson and husband Steve of Franklin; a sister, Reva Mae “Sis” Duvall of Franklin; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in law, Earl Simons and Bob Simons both of Franklin and sisters-in law, Jean Kusterr, Gloria Clark, Emily Clark, Pauline Freeman, Maxine Arvey all of Franklin and Bernice Simons of Hampton, VA. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper and Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Macon Funeral Home
