Obituary for Colleen Marie Porter (Stolley)

Colleen Marie Stolley Porter, 65, of Franklin passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 after battling brain cancer.
She was born in Attleboro, MA, the daughter of the late William Raymond Stolley and Rose Estrella Stolley. Colleen’s main passion outside of her family was cooking but also loved drawing, painting, needlework, knitting and crocheting. She moved to Franklin in October 2008 and learning the art of planting and growing things. Colleen attended Maiden’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is a former district sales manager for Delta Air Lines and has friends all over the world. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Porter; two children, Lisa Connor of Maryland and Michelle Read of Florida; a sister, Kathleen Larson of Florida and four grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Maiden’s Chapel UMC. Rev. Sherron Geiger will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
