Clyde Mitchell Tabor, 71, of Bryson City, NC, passed away Friday, March 30, 2007.
A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Verlin Clyde Tabor and Lousie Welch Tabor. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Tabor and a sister, Kathleen Tabor. Clyde was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Dan Springs Baptist Church, Bryson City.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean Nelson Tabor; three children, David Tabor and wife Donna of Bryson City, Mary Queen of Franklin and Tom Tabor and wife Betty of Conyers, GA; one sister, Wanda Nelson of Bryson City; two brothers, Blake Tabor of High Point and Bernard Tabor of Bryson City; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, at Dan Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Tabor Cemetery with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Alan Tabor, Mark Tabor, William Clark, Tommy Clark, Scotty Clark and Adam Queen.
