Obituary for Clyde William Scott

Clyde W. Scott, 68, of Franklin, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2005.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of Alice Franks Scott and the late Ralph Scott. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Scott and a sister, Margie Scott. He was a member of Watauga Baptist Church. Clyde enjoyed visiting the Ridgecrest Exxon Station daily talking and telling jokes.

In addition to his mother, Alice Franks Scott, he is survived by his wife, Betty Sanders Scott; four daughters, Vickie Downs and husband Max, Linda Stewart and husband Steve, Teresa Martin and husband Dennis and Donna Barlow and husband David all of Franklin; two brothers, George Scott and Clarence Scott both of Franklin; one sister, Bonnie Franks of Franklin; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee Williams, Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. Ronnie Owens will officiate. Burial will be in the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 4, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Stewart, Jr., Josh Stewart, Michael Davis, Rick Cassada, Clay Cogdill and Ray Tallent.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Donations, Mid Atlantic Affiliate, Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
