Clarence Gregory "Greg" Broom, 56, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2006.

A native of Monroe, NC, he was the son of Billy B. Broom and Theta Charis Bruton Broom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Broom who died September 2003.He was a welder and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Nora Katon and husband William of Rockport, Texas; brother, Brandon Broom and wife Kim of Singapore; one niece, Keri Kay Broom of Richmond, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 9, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Newell will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the Macon County Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
