Christine Roper Mason, 92, of Franklin, passed away Thurs., February 1, 2007.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Roper and Zadie Wilkes Roper. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Mason who died in 1991 and four sons, Gene Monroe Mason, Marion Willard Mason, Clyde Ernest Mason and Howard Thomas Mason. She was the oldest member of Mount Sinai Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by three children, Cora Lee Campbell, James Mason and Marvin Mason all of Franklin; brother, Odean Roper of Eatonton, GA; sister, Iona Cargile of Conyers, GA; 21 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 4, at Mount Sinai Assembly of God. Rev. Johnny Raby, Rev. Barry Bowman and Rev. Doug Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Browning, Charles Williamson, Mickey Raby, Ardell Collier, Tony Cochran and Donald Mason.
