Obituary for Christine Lorena Guy (Atkinson)

Christine Guy died at the age of 95 in the arms of her daughter Janie Winter It was a graceful transition full of peace.Christine and her daughter had only been here for one year but were
impressed with the beauty of Franklin and the loveliness of its people. The warmth shown by
all was reminiscent of Louisiana, their previous home. Special thanks to all who
touched her life, but especially to the entire staff of Britthaven and most especially
the angels of the SPARK unit, who made her last year on earth a heaven. Also grateful thanks to the team of Angel Hospice, your devotion and care was heroic and so appreciated..
She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Judith Guy Carmena, who we all feel came to
get her, her husband, Charles W. Guy; her parents her sister and many many friends.
****She was a Rice University graduate, a famous artist, and a Baton Rouge socialite, founding the Debutante and Mardi Gras Balls, but her best role was Mother to her three children. Judith Guy Carmena, Charlie Guy and Janie Guy Winter. She has 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a random act of kindness, or "pay it forward, or giving to your favorite charity would be appreciated. If you would like to send your condolences write - Janie Winter, 34 West Depot Street, Franklin 28734.
