Christine Morgan Estes, 75, of Franklin NC, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007.

Born in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Madison Morgan and Mary Etta Scott Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Estes who died September 29, 2000; son, George M. Estes who died April 6, 2006; brothers; Bill, Roy, Fred and Joe; and sister, Willa Mae Hall. Christine was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.

She is survived by her companion, Carl McMahan of Franklin, NC, brothers; Dewey Morgan of Franklin NC, and Roger Morgan of Fairview NC; sisters Lorene Cope of Mt. Vernon, Washington and Dorothy Gregory of Franklin, NC; granddaughter Kristen, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Gregory and Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, October 30, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Seibert, Stacy Dills, Ricky Gregory, Jeremy Gregory, Daniel Gregory and Gary Morgan, and Marty Queen.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
