Obituary for Charles Edwin Wallace

Charles Edwin Wallace, 89, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Born and raised in Macon County, Charles was the son of the late John Wallace and Arizona Moffitt Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Morris “Buck” Wallace, Howard Wallace, Clifford Wallace, Alice Crisp and Sally Gates. Charles proudly served his country in the US Army and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7339. He attended Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. Charles managed Davenport Campground in Hayesville and loved going there to socialize with his “campground family”.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Wallace; two stepchildren, Rev. Ken Cramer and wife Holly of Gloucester, VA and Lisa Lewis and husband Terry of Clyde, NC; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Monday, July 20 at Macon Funeral Home.
Rev. Mike McConnell and Reverend Dr. Ken Cramer will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shop with a Cop or Holiday Angels.
