Obituary for Charles Fulmer Motley

Charles Fulmer  Motley
Charles Fulmer Motley, 70, of Otto, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 30, 2009.
Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late William Devore Motley and Leona Fulmer Motley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Lester Motley and brothers, Roy and Ray Motley. He worked for Southern Bell for 31 years as Assistant Manager; worked with Ramcell at Wal-Mart and was active at church for a number of years with the Sunday School group. He was a member of First Alliance Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gail Sargent Motley; two children, Shelise Phillips and husband Clay of Temple, GA and Charles Fulmer Motley II and wife Tammy of Franklin; two brothers, Bill Motley and wife Doris of Charleston, SC and Jack Motley and wife Carolyn of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Beverly McGahee of West Palm Beach, FL and Dorothy Baker of Canton, OH; sister-in-law, Barbara Motley of Robbinsville, NC; three grandchildren, Zee Keezer, Drew Bishop and Tori Bishop and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 2, at First Alliance Church. Rev. Mitch Shultz and Rev. Benny Bagwell will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Sherwood, Craig Deforest, Brian Sherwood, Jeff Hall, Jay Baker and Gene Foltz.
Memorial donations may be made to First Alliance Church (The Great Commission Missionary Fund); 31 Promise Lane, Franklin, NC 28734.
