Charles McAllister, 70, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007.
A native of Greenock, Scotland, he was the son of the late Charles McAllister and Grace Earls McAllister. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee McAllister who died in 2001 and a brother, William. Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran and owned and operated Franklin Paint and Supply for 22 years before retiring.
He is survived by two sons, Gino McAllister of Franklin and
GySgt. Marcus McAllister of Camp Lejeune, NC; four grandsons, Andrew, Alex, Christian and Thomas; and nephew, Scott McAllister of New York.
A Memorial Service will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Carolina University Foundation for the Mary L. McAllister Scholarship Fund, 401 Robinson Administration Building, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
