Obituary for Cecil R. Kinsland

Cecil R.  Kinsland
Cecil R. Kinsland, 79, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, January 9,2008.

A native of Macon County, Mr. Kinsland was the son of the late Paul and Ruby Mason Kinsland. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Judson Kinsland Jr., and one sister, Betty Kinsland. Mr. Kinsland was a graduate of Franklin High School and Western Carolina University. He was employed as an Administrative Officer with the NC Department of Revenue. Mr. Kinsland was a Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce Huggins Kinsland; two daughters: Glynda Johnson and husband, Michael of Fairfax, VA, Ann Ayers and husband Stan of Cary, NC; two sisters: Margaret Semack of Montclair, NJ, and Dwaine Hartline of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren: Matthew Kinsland Johnson and wife Clare, Kathryn Ann Johnson, Joshua Kinsland Ayers, and Sarah Joyce Ayers.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 12, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wiley Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in the Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Bo Kinsland, D.L. Huggins, Henderson Huggins, Bernard Huggins, Guy Fouts, Stan Ayers, Michael Johnson and Matthew Johnson.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
