Carroll Southern Goodson, 75, of Franklin, went home to be with his Lord, Friday, November 9, 2007.

Born in Galax, VA, he was the son of the late Clifford Goodson and Margie Hodge Goodson Todd. He was preceded in death by two children, Paulette Passmore and Jimmy Goodson and two grandchildren, Crystal Goodson and Cheryl Hooper. Carroll was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a truck driver for over 30 years and attended Prentiss Church of God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ethelene Passmore Goodson; son, James Goodson and wife Tammie of Hickory, NC; two daughters, Debra G. Davis and husband Buddy and Teresa G. Hooper and husband Donnie all of Franklin; four grandchildren, Richard Goodson, Nina Goodson Toney and husband Charlie, Caleb Davis and Ashley Wylie and husband Jonathan; two great grandchildren, Faith Toney and Lucas Wylie; brother Bob Goodson of San Antonio, Texas and sister, Linda Bondurant of Pilot Mountain, NC.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 11, at Prentiss Church of God. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Private Burial will be on Monday in the Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in the Nantahala Township.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, at Prentiss Church of God.
